The Hiléia Centre and the Forest of Life Field Station are situated 50 km from Manaus, at the road that links Manaus to Manacapurú. From Manaus town district São Raimundo the ferry or small speedboats cross the Rio Negro to the town of Cacau-Pireira.

In Cacau-Pireira there are taxis and busses are available in direction of Manacapurú. After 50 km on a well asfalted road you reach the Hiléia Centre.
